The name

Two elephants. Two friends.

In Igbo, one spelling carries two meanings, separated only by tone. Ényì is a friend. Ényí is an elephant. The elephant is the animal Igbo tradition reaches for when it wants to speak about strength.

Our mark holds both at once: two elephants, trunks linked. Strength that chooses to hold on to somebody else. That is the whole idea of this foundation, drawn before a single word of it was written.

Initiatives

Where we are starting

These are the first projects the foundation will support and promote. We are open to sponsoring any initiative that promotes citizen and community development.

Our agenda

Seven things we have set out to do

  1. Empower communities

    To empower communities through education, entrepreneurship, and personal development.

  2. Fund the ones who can’t self-fund

    To establish scholarship programmes and provide educational grants to financially support deserving individuals who lack the resources to pursue higher education or vocational training.

  3. Put digital skills within reach

    To equip people with digital skills through the provision of technological programmes and software.

  4. Make the work findable

    To develop and distribute informative materials, pamphlets, posters, and brochures about the foundation's programmes and initiatives, so that people in the community know what exists and how to take part.

  5. Get books into hands

    To provide books, textbooks, and educational materials that enhance the knowledge and skills of young people.

  6. Build creative confidence

    To encourage people to explore their creativity and build self-confidence by providing workshops and training.

  7. Teach the practical things

    To provide resources that help people develop practical life skills, such as financial literacy, time management, critical thinking, and communication skills.
